A few days short of 5 months has passed since Microsoft announced Backward Compatibility was coming to Xbox One and we’ve all been dying to know what games. No more waiting! The list is finally here!
Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management for Xbox, has announced the first 104 Xbox 360 games coming to Xbox One on November 12. “Our launch of 104 titles on Nov. 12 is just the beginning. You can expect new Xbox One Backward Compatible games to be announced on a regular basis, starting in December.”
Notably missing from the list is the Call of Duty/Modern Warfare series, NCAA Football, and Red Dead Redemption. I’m very curious about the CoD series and Red Dead omissions. If you have been following the Xbox Feedback website, you know Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Skyrim and Halo: Reach were the five most requested games, none of which made the cut.
Shockingly, games such as Bejeweled 2 and Tron: Evolution made the list, in fact, about 85% of the list is XBLA games. It will be interesting to see how things play out over the next couple of months.
